The fundamental purpose of the choir is to lead people in worship of the Almighty God.
Accomplishment of this purpose does not happen as a result of well-trained ears, balanced voicing or even an energetic stage presence. Instead, true worship leading must be a supernatural extension of our love relationship with Christ (Matthew 22:37-38)
Although not always in perfect harmony, the choir is in unity. Old and young respond when observing their peers engaged in spirit and truth; worship that is God-honoring. The choir is an important ministry in that it acquaints the congregation with a wide variety of musical styles and also deepens their faith and love for God through musical expression.
