The Seniors Group at TVBC is composed of young-at-heart men and women 55 years and older who enjoy getting together for a meal, event, and/or trip. The seniors travel the region (via church van) to events in Southwest Virginia, East Tennessee, Western Kentucky, and North Carolina. Recent outings include:
Virginia: Barter Theater, concerts at Mountain Empire Community College, Trail of the Lonesome Pine Outdoor Drama, and Carter Fold, and the German Restaurant in Weber City.
Tennessee: Butler Museum, Appalachian Museum, Oak Ridge, Farmers Daughter Restaurant & Amish Store, Lamp Lighter Theater, Amis Mill Eatery, and Titanic Museum.
Kentucky: Cumberland Gap State Park, Breaks Interstate Park, and Pine Mountain State Park.
North Carolina: Biltmore House and Shatley Springs.
From picnicking and hay riding at Natural Tunnel State Park to classical music concerts to a Fifties-themed dinner social, the Seniors at TVBC are on the move, taking pleasure in Christian fellowship as they live life to the fullest extent in their golden years.
