Jesus rode into Jerusalem, humbly on the back of a donkey as rugs, blankets, and palm leaves were laid upon the ground ahead of Him. He continued to openly teach in the temple complex and train His disciples even as He knew what was ahead for Himself. He humbly, obediently, and righteously obeyed His Father in Heaven.
It was not any clever plotting from the chief priests, betrayal by one of His own, the fearful fleeing of His remaining disciples, false testimonies before the Sanhedrin, or an unjust decision by the governor that led to Jesus’ death. It was us. Our sins placed Him on that cross on Golgotha. Our sins caused Him to be forsaken by His Father. He died so that we may live. But on the third day, the tomb was empty! We do not have a dead savior. He lives! To this very day, He lives!
To worship and celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thomas Village Baptist Church will be having daily services for Holy Week. The services will be March 21-25 (Monday-Friday), 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. A light lunch will be provided. Invite everyone in the community. Even if you won’t be able to make it, tell your neighbors. If you know someone who works in Duffield, let them know. The Lord is at work in our community. Praise God!
Note: Anyone who is interested and available to help with preparing lunch may contact Tammy Bledsoe via Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or Cell Phone: 276-594-0758.
